Ages 11-18

The Silver Lining Youth Circus summer tour camp is all about performing! Campers need to be between ages 11-18 and want to have fun working hard on a show.

TO QUALIFY for Tour Camp, “Troupers” must:

  • have prior circus or performance experience (such as dance, theater, gymnastics, singing or playing an instrument, or parkour)

  • be able to juggle 3 balls (at least)

  • be able to perform basic tumbling skills (forward roll, cartwheel)

  • be able to work constructively and harmoniously with others on a project

  • be willing to practice on your own without an adult telling you to do it

  • fill out this brief questionnaire to tell us about your performance experience and what coming to the Silver Lining Youth Circus summer tour camp would mean to you.

  • Questionnaires will be evaluated by camp directors Jackie Davis & Meghan McClure. If you meet our criteria, you’ll be approved! If you still have some work to do, we’ll recommend you for a regular session of Silver Lining Circus Camp -- you may qualify for the Tour after that!

What about COVID-19? Is camp still going ahead?

The FGC team has been in close discussion with our circus education colleagues around the country, as well as listening to advice from the YMCA, American Camping Association, the CDC, state and federal governments, and the pandemic task force of AYCO and ACE.

Given the many complexities and challenges of hosting a camp during the pandemic, we have decided we will not hold in-person Silver Lining Circus Camp this summer.

But have no fear! CIRCUS IN A BOX is here!
You can now have a week of Circus Camp shipped right to your door, equipment and all, and participate in real-time online classes with a coach and other campers. The 5-day Box Sessions are the same dates as Silver Lining, so don't delay!
